Clubs and Activities - all grades

The Dwight School supports the philosophy that student activities are an integral part of a well-rounded IB education. Our Passport Program for students K-4 and Ambassadors Program for students in grades 5 & 6 offer a variety of programs five days a week. There is a modest fee to participate in the Passport Program.

Franklin/Anglo Houses (Grades 9-12)

Students in Grades 9-12 must participate in their choice of a team sport or activity each semester. All grade 9 students are required to play a team sport or participate in an athletic activity during at least one of the three trimesters.

Bentley House (Grades 7 & 8)

Bentley House students in Grades 7 & 8 are required to participate in one team sport or activity each trimester. Each Bentley House student must select a team sport for at least one trimester.

While every student is expected to participate in the activities program, exemptions for a compelling reason will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Requests for exemptions must be made in writing by a parent or guardian to the dean of the student's house. All students must sign-up for their activities online at the beginning of each trimester. Every student, including those with an exemption and those continuing their activity from the preceding term, must register. A description, which includes the term that each activity is offered, is available to students before online registration begins for that term.
